Um what? I though Mana is from MC levelimg up and train? How could Kabis block it off?
If he got mana from kabis too then why it start off so low?

I’m noticing the MC is really leveling up alone. Kabis is really there for comedic effect to some extent and is not guiding the MC to get stronger. It seems like the MC encounters something, poses a question to Kabis, and gets an answer. Everything he is going through is through trial and error. I see why the MC doesn’t listen to Kabis on some occasions or other people in general as they usually don’t explain everything. Also, I think this is the first time I seen a hunter-style story where they get ability cards and he has to call Kabis each time to see the description of the skill.
