thats rly smart. in theory old gods can just keep making the monster strong, strong enough to beat MC but if they strengthen to much the gods are given the leeway needed to interfere. Right now old gods are stuck in a predicament, to kill kang taesan they need to cross the boundary of whats permisable but if they do that the gods can interfere themselves. I wonder what else the old gods can try doing? like maybe throwing the equivelant of 4 nukes (to overcome his 3 damage nullifications) all at once so gods cant interfere immediately
I like that they didn’t suddenly gave a unreasonable power boost for MC that struggled with an A rank, to beat an above S rank monster
