Summary

A brief description of the manhwa Level Up With Skills:

Humanity will experience a catastrophe in 2020 when unknown monsters assault Earth. By taking on the apparition of the Labyrinth, players get ready for the assault. They have four alternatives to pick from:

Anyone can survive in Easy Mode; forth “Normal Mode,” you must put forth effort to live; Only 1% of people could survive on Hard Mode, while Solo Mode was the hardest setting.

The strongest Easy Mode player, Kang TaeSan, successfully navigated the labyrinth utilizing a novel strategy and skills that others were unable to obtain, such as addition, multiplication, attack nullification, and ultimate judgement.

He picked Easy Mode, though, so his strength was limited. He lay dying, powerless to stop the destruction of mankind. There is a remarkable possibility.

“I’ll definitely get stronger this time around.”

I’ma be honest, this started out great, but the newer chapters are getting very boring. Also, there are many things in the story that were easier to ignore in the beginning, when it was enjoyable. But the more I read, the more the scaling, power, and story started to piss me off. There is only so much u can turn off your brain for a book u like.

I would give the first half 8/10 but the second half 5/10. Its still readable just annoying as hell.

Just bcuz you’re tired of reading the same story doesn’t make this one any less good… This series definitely deserves at least a 4.6/7. It doesn’t need to be complex top be peak.

The story setup is all over the place. Not for my liking. I know these popcorn reads are just for fun the setups are getting hollower and just flashy with no substance. :aimeboy:

Basic things like the entire system + dungeons appear in an apocalyptic world but no one apart from MC could crack the logic. Very convenient, it’s not the world has billions of people and statistically its possible for plenty other people to figure the shite out if constantly pushed to death.

The story feels lonely, NPCs here and there for future plots, simpy side characters and only MC is smart, strong, brave and everything in between. .

The strongest player in timeline A has more of an interesting background, character and accomplishments than MC.

I know he has this flashy introduction and is strong despite just having base stats, but she chose the difficult mode despite being a coward and gained the things that helped MC regress in the first place. She is not given her due and constantly is inferred to be weak, B please

the usual being brought back after you die and make yourself and your allies stronger than they were….if you dont like kinda over powered MCs this isnt for you, but its a decent series nonetheless

Absolutely amazing 4.7/5 mc uses unique skills and actually puts in hard work worth getting op skills he doesnt just get random op skills he does feats worthy of getting strong skills and its similair to the tutorial tower is too hard i reccommend this heavily

I read till ch 80 and gave it a solid three out of 5 Stars without much room for Interpretation of it being a 4/5 star

The plotholes are weird, as always. Some optional choices of the studio made the facts of the story seem somewhat unstable.
Overall it is still a very decent middle to high schooler toon, but lacks consistency for something akin to a “mature” tag (like shounen and seinen in manga).
It’s a grand leveling tale “with skills”. Cuz others don’t usually do this i g? Idk

Currently at chapter 72 and kinda disappointed. As the summary said, he picked the easy mode before and got another chance and picked solo mode to get even stronger. I was expecting a made in abyss, i became a tyrant of a defence game or pick me up type of sh*t where MCs struggle but he breezes through so far. The system is kinda interesting but so OP for him. He still on early levels but everyone is saying lower levels is dangerous so maybe he struggles in the future.

It’s one of the better regression stories. Especially as the mc is not exactly living the same life that he lived before. As the mc got OP in the easy mode labyrinth and now doing the labyrinth in the solo mode that should be the nightmare mode. Even tough it’s not really a solo mode and as described that solo mode is alone and all you can see are NPC’s. But that is a lie cause there are other climbers from other worlds that can go down/up and control the new players by forcing them to join their guild or kill them. So it’s not exactly a solo mode. On the part that the mc will climb alone from Earth is solo but when there are other climbers from other worlds then it stops being solo as that brings in the problem of player killing that happens in other modes where people from earth make the competition or dominate other people from earth.
