That makes so much more sense than just being scared of the tower. We’re so used to MCs absolutely dominating during their regressions, but lee tae yeon’s pov is probably a much more realistic one in this context. The responsibility imposed on her was too great. If she failed, then everything would’ve been over, humanity would’ve died with her. That’s why she couldn’t take too many risks to get hidden skills. By choosing the safest route, she can at least guarantee a regression to try again and again. Imagine being forced to redo the hellish maze with all these mental binds… must’ve been tough.
