That knowledge is extremely dangerous, you could have someone exploit it badly to get skills that would make them a abomination. Stab yourself repeatedly to get stab resistance, cut yourself for slashing resistance, bleed yourself for blood regeneration or bleeding resistance, break your bones for stronger bones etc.
I’ll be surprised if there aren’t some truly monstrous adventurers deep down in the Maze that became addicted to grinding skills.

So.. there are basically infinite skills available in the maze.. so whatever you do it becomes a skill.. like when you eat tons of hot hili you could technicall get
1. Strong stomach or Poison tolerance, since chili can be seen as a heat inducing poison..
2. Fast digestion
And..
3. Quick defecation/burn tolerance/
maybe even fiery defecation, shoot flames from your rear end
