In the end System Skills are theoretically just a quantization of your own improvement. Therefore “blocking skills” is impossible if you actually know how to use those skills. To put it another way, imagine skills as knowledge, while the system is your notebook. You can use the notebook to write down what you know, and your teacher can add in important additions (level up bonuses), but those additions are only useful on open-note tests. When the teacher gives you a no-notes test (i.e. no system support allowed), you can only rely on your own knowledge. Does this mean that you can’t use the information in your notes? Of course you can, as long as you have internalized it and understand it and can remember/apply the information in your notes without your physical notebook.
In other words, what Taesan is doing here is not “cheating the system,” it’s “realizing how to take off the training wheels.”
he just used logic around the rules of this encounter. oh, no Non swordsmanship related skills are allowed then ill just make up a style of swordsmanship that incorporates skills into it.
