One thing that doesn’t make much sense is the author’s insistence on wanting to keep the MC’s appearance always “dirty”. This is visible on his body and face, always with dirt marks. I imagine it is to convey the image of a hard-working kid who is always training, but this excess image is unnecessary and has the opposite effect, IMO.
And it’s not because he’s a commoner, because many commoners in manhwa are clean. He’s not poor either, given what he got for quests, having somewhere to sleep and what to eat (but not to bathe or have clean clothes?). To claim any of these things is an offense to commoners and the poor for believing that just because someone is in one of these conditions, he must necessarily always be dirty.
