Leveling Up With The Sword is a typical solo mc centered story, getting stronger on the way to the top. Though I would define it as a solo story, it really isn’t because of his later relations and the spirit the follows him. But, the other characters that interact with the mc seem to be there for relief rather than separate beings with depth. For the plot in general, I do have a few nitpicks such as: other Leon + characters in the academy are forgotten about (a few panels attributed to them later in the story would’ve been nice) and not a lot of mentions of the mc talking to himself (outsider’s pov). Along with this, the plot in general quickly becomes boring. Besides for wanting the mc to get stronger, I’m not interested in any of the world’s issues or antagonist. This may be my fault or the authors for not building a strong and eye catching story. At the end of the day, it’s a solid manwha but nothing special or intriguing.

PS: There is a good progression for the mc’s strength but also gets power boosts to prove he isn’t worthless compared to everyone else.
