Watching some American series, manga and manhwas, I wonder if the level of bullying really gets to be so hardcore like this around the world. I am Brazilian, I can say that I saw some bullying in my time, but it never even reached the feet of what I see in series and manga and it was temporary, becoming trivial, similar to a joke, and often the “target of the bullying” returned the joke soon after. Maybe my school years and my town are exceptions, but even so, I am curious to see how this is portrayed in fiction, because it almost seems to be the authors’ real experience.
And when I say that in my time it was trivial, you can believe it. The most common thing was to put strange nicknames or things like that. No naked pictures, no one tying someone up at the gate or humiliating them in public, as well as any of the other creepy stuff you see in fiction.
