i understand most of you are dissapointed in Daniel’s loss, but there are a couple of things to take into mind

first: Daniel came to ambush Yujae with the ”intel” the speed circle got and asumed Yujae was alone with some bodyguards, therefore he did not know Yujae had a portion of his army, squad-commanders no.2 and no.3 with him

second: the speed circle members especially the girl (excluding Jagyeon and his no.2 and no.3), blindly sought revenge, resulting in them acting on their own without waiting for the rest of the speed circle. Daniel, declining the idea at first, saying it was too risky. but the girl managed to bring him on with the plan by showing Daniel that Yujae betryaed them

now a little bit about the fight with Yujae in itself

first: Daniel had no idea what fighting style or martial art Yujae uses, resulting in him taking hits and eventually figuring out he uses taekkyeon

second: Daniel was told by Jagyeon he needed to add talent to the experience he already has, which in my theory means the attacks, techniques he copied and pouring his OWN talent into those attacks instead of the talent of the owner of that technique. what fits best for me is that Daniel was trying to add his own talent into the unique attack of Jagyeon

last point: even IF Daniel managed to win against Yujae, i don’t think he would have the energy and stamina to fight against all off those numbers. Therefore, Daniel’s quick measure was the right one and worked greatly (except the girl getting kidnapped of course)
