Man~ dragons are the scum of the universe, second only to demons.
They kill and rap3 anyone anytime they like.

True, but stubborn, stupid, self-centered, narrow-minded people are by no means unusual, especially if they’re used to having power, specifically direct power over other people’s circumstances and lives.
One of the only characters that irritates me more (recently) than this second elder is that star envoy. Those two are a real pair of winners.

The author reaches for the “dumb asshole” card too often when characterizing opponent and rival characters. It becomes tiresome. Too may thousand year old elders and whatnot that have the wit and perspective of a douchey 13 year old.

Well, dragons are basically natural disasters whenever they get up and move about… causing disasters and near apocalypses…
So most of the worlds inhabitants want them all to stay at home, and sleep in their lairs and never get up or go out…
The places where they live and where they visit or rule, because of thier nature, are basically post apocalypse rules…
lower population to high resource and land availability, so it’s all about repopulating and recovering from the disasters they cause every time they move. Populace living in worry/fear.
While demons are embodiments of different emotions and extremities of the drugs they produce & enjoy. (different organs produce these chemicals naturally in a non addictive form from emotions)
“Lust” drugs like ecstacy, Roof E’s, etc…
“Wrath” drugs like adrenaline shots, steroids, etc…
“Sloth” drugs like meeeeth & sleepy stuff,
“Envy” painkillers, plastic surgery,
“Pride” ‘Coke’-a-cola and energy drinks…
“Gluttony” diet-weight loss pills, metabolism boosters.
“Greed” Gambling, Counterfiet money, pimps, thieves, etc…
