I’m all caught up.
A few things the manhua doesn’t go into:
Spoiler
The author of the novel doesn’t have a scale that makes sense. He describes the whisp of the emperor of reincarnation as being able to annihilate GALAXIES even though he’s only .1% the power of the original.
When describing the damage and chaos caused by an upcoming fight, he says the mountains collapsed from 10,000 miles around (lol.)
He also mentions in an internal monologue that he was disappointed it was only a wisp because he planned for the actual emperor himself.
There are also times when the manhua doesn’t describe Gu’s action, which might lead to some confusion. As an example, the cultivation skill Gu uses to enslave the families (Immortal binding technique) was bought from his system shop.
Honestly, while the manhua leaves out a lot, you can probably fill in the blanks with a little effort.
Another thing to mention about Yin Mei is that she genuinely believed Gu was going to let her die like a pawn. And in internal monologues, Gu admits he came to trust Yin Mei, but doesn’t consider her as loyal as his fiancé.
