I’m currently binging from chapter 0. I’ll keep binging but I have to stop and take a moment here.
Somehow, I can relate to Ijin more than I’m comfortable with. The comedy in this whole series has kept me rolling on the floor today but.. How he’s unfamiliar with social interactions, feelings and meaning of such words as ‘family’ is being portayed in such a way that it hits closer and closer to home. Now obviously I wasn’t raised a mercenary and I’m one of those luckier people who had (and still have) both loving parents, but the way things went for the past decade, I’ve become utterly detached and emotionally unavailable – though I’m probably using a wrong term since I’m perfectly comfortable with sharing my emotions, it’s just that I don’t have emotions to share most of the time.
Considering this manhwa has 157 chapters rn, I think my brain’s just secretly starting to hope that it might show me a possible way out of being this numb..
