If you like reading what is tantamount to the same story over and over again, you’ll like this. If not, find something else. This has a terrible habit of having not only the same story, but keeps cycling between different “setting” if you will. Mercenary/school bully/ corporate shenanigans/ bodyguard

Ann 2 comments below sums it up well.

There’s no character arc of any sort, no progression, no evolution of the story. Every time something interesting is about to happen like

his family gets kidnapped by his enemies

his old colleagues are hunting him

it all gets resolves anti-climatically and everything goes back to where it was.

many won’t agree but as I read this every week this is getting boring, always the same thing : some overwhelming strengh from MC and a bit of sad stroy that’s a bit clumsy and repeat. To sum up, The more you read the more you’ll be bored.

5/10 at most

I was initially loving this manga due to all the vigilantism it had, and of the villains getting their just desserts.

But it is tremendously repetitive. I kid you not, the same storyline repeats every half dozen chapters. I’m on chapter 227 now, and it just repeats itself.

Setting[s]:

MC is looked down upon because he’s young/silent/a student
Villain believes they’re the biggest gangster/corporation/mercenary group
MC’s family/colleague/friend is kidnapped/bullied

Resolution[s]:

MC picks up a phone and dials for instant air transport/CCTV surveillance
MC walks straight into the enemy camp and solves everything with violence
MC’s colleagues secretly help him with violence
MC gets his friends’ help with power and connections

Payoff[s]:

MC gets respect but turns down reward
MC enjoys heartwarming scene with family
Colleagues look grumpy
Grandpa appears and smiles

It’s not really interesting after a hundred chapters of Grandpa standing in some weird alley and smiling. Or having some night snack at the convenience store. Or being mistaken for some inexperienced, young student as he walks into a group of thugs.

I’m genuinely just waiting for the day MC’s friends finds out his past and reaction. Love the fights, which is mainly what keeps me consistent with every update but there isn’t much of a plot. Fight wise 9/10. Plot 6/10.
Other than that it’s great for readers who love the adrenaline and just the never gonna die MC’s OPness
