HAH! I KNEW IT!! Ever since Arthur became “an enemy” I KNEW IT! The way Chaos works would definitely have given way to this! It was even explained well! “Absorbing the cancer” was practically suicidal for Arthur since he was a newbie when he did it while Cath was a pro when it comes to Chaos! If Cath couldn’t be destroyed back then nor absorbed safely without erasing his conciousness… maybe it all lies within the nature of the Four KotA’s powers to fully destroy him.

I hate this plot twist. I hate the trope of evil ruler just being purely corrupted by magic or being an impostor and in reality the real person is still a good guy. Chaos Arthur was interesting antagonist because even if his methods were evil he was still ultimately creating a world people wanted to live in. Opposing him would mean destroying the utopia people chose for themselves. It wouldn’t be objectively right choice. There was also ambiguity in his motives. Did he genuinely become bigoted towards the other species due to his horrible experiences during the war? Did the power corrupt him? How much of it was Chaos talking? Was he just manipulating other people by using their resentment and fear towards other species? That’s something I wanted to find out.
But none of that was real and it’s just the same chaotic evil final boss from the last story fooling everyone all over again. There’s not going to any moral complexity in this story anymore now that we know that the evil bad guy was always just going to destroy the utopia he created. Now good guys don’t have to wrestle with that dilemma anymore. The story just became so much more boring.
Thought so, Cath had taken over Arthur after all
So, it’s like a Man in the Wall (Warframe) type stuff going on with Arthur?
