I don’t know why they abbreviated the classroom scene, I think that was a mistake. It was much better in the novel, and helped deepen the character relationships. The rest of the chapter, however, is improved, especially the comic timing.
Also, Luke can’t believe that Rudeus would jump straight from impotent to faithful without playing the field at all, it’s killing him
