absolutely loved this manga
such a great manga just for it to have a rushed ending like this, i will never understand authors who make/write such bad endings!!!!1 like we couldve seen about their second year in high school or that field trip and more ROMANCEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!! there were so many things that couldve replaced this stupid ending, with all these other possibilities we couldve gotten a 200/300+ long manga and i WOULD read all of it.
authors seriously need to understand that a lot if not all viewers sort of get attached to the characters,i want see more of these two dumbasses being in love instead of a filler episode that wasnt needed.

I don’t really get why authors of these stories don’t understand that a this point people get so affectioned to the characters that they would enjoy even a story where they just live a normal day, from morning awake to night goodnight.
Give some of them every now and then, please! They have become as family for us readers
The reason why is the author developed heath issues. Said issues were bad enough to finish the story the it was. Given how mangaka industry is those health issues could be life threatening sadly. While the story ending was rushed true. It could very well may have never ended at all like many stories before it.
So much meat left on this bone! They were only going into their second year and had a bunch of high school drama to possibly deal with as well as the Haniel arc fallout that could have developed into a whole other thing with him making a career out of creating costumes as WELL as her being a pro cosplay model in addition to her other modeling jobs… the girl who traumatized him at the beginning was written off as inconsequential when that could’ve added a 3rd wheel to tug at his heart strings and somehow she never had an ex to show up either?!? Ughh, i love the happy ending but the author could have done so much more with this! Such a shame for such an awesome set of characters!
Ohh well here ends my 5 years old journey

wait that was the ending? I feel robed! that could have been so much longer. damnit. it that was abrupt. i mean they introduced so many char’s, even set up 2-3 story lines for them. . I cant believe I waited months for that.

Basically a rushed ending. It’s fine, and the characters are happy together so that’s a plus. But it’s clear the author didn’t know where to go from here.
Pretty much the moment Marin decided she didn’t want to go into professional cosplay and the lingering plot thread of Wakana’s childhood friend was resolved, this was basically going to happen.
A shame we never see the Haniel thing truly wrapped up though.
I just realized that the manga ends with three smiling faces… and Marin’s ass. Which is as lovely as ever, of course, but still for a final panel that’s kind of disrespectful, lol.
Final thoughts… The last chapter before this one could have been the end for me, and I wouldn’t have felt as jipped as I do now. I feel robbed as well, but that’s probably because the author spent half a year building tension with the Haniel arc ( Which I suffered through diligently for them to get together ) and just ended the story with a “And they got together and all their dreams came true” end. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted this ending, but if I had to wait half a year being depressed through the Haniel arc to get to this, then it’s just not enough. I hope they do that BS where they add more chapters to the ending than just one to wrap stuff up, but I don’t think that is likely. Whelp… Let’s hope for some fan fics to fill in the gaps.
I was reluctant to read this ending and I was right. Rushed, bland, predictable, unsatisfying. It kinda resolves most of the main plots, but in the lamest way possible: by TELLING what happened, instead of SHOWING it.
“Okay, so they got married, he went on to make awesome hina dolls, she went on to make career as a model, end of story, thanks for reading, now f#ck off”.
I mean, it’s not that it all wasn’t certain from the beginning, but it got dumped on the readers in such disrespectful, borderline offensive way… Of course we knew that it was gonna end well, but what was truly important was the journey: all the twists and turns these two adorable dumbasses were going to take in order to get there, all the small and big dramas, picnics on the side of the road, friends (or foes) made along the way… All that was cut off and we’re left with at most half of the story, maybe 1/3rd or even a quarter. We’ve been robbed of so much character and relationship development that I’m fuming whenever I think about it. That lame ending thrown at my feet like a cheap scrap meat just to shut me up just adds insult to injury. I don’t know if I ever reread this series again because of it.
I’ll shut up now.
I’m sad, people. I was hoping for more.
