I like how in the Anime the Groups name is “Concord” instead of “Gathering of Races” and the word “Maestro” is used instead of “Master”
How is nobody going to point out how fucking idiotic this whole thing is? Why would they need to trick him to join their party? He was peniless, he would have joined no matter what. Also how would they even know he has this skill? We established that you need to cast a specialized skill that (not everyone has) to figure that info out. Was he wearing a sign with that skill on it? Or do they spend all day randomly scanning beggars? Also how come halfway into the abyss there isnt enough mana to get something that is at least rare? Also why would they need to do this whole song and dance where they tell him a bunch of stuff they would have to kill him for knowing? If they had planned to let a monster kill him, why didnt they just do that? Why would they shoot him with an arrow which is a clearly identifiable injury that is most definitly not caused by a monster? Why not just kill him in his sleep, why not just poison his food without telling him anything? Actually why kill him at all? If you’ve identified that he’s really useless then let him go, or keep him around anyway it makes no fucking difference either way. Also if you thought he may have been useful why didnt you try to level him up or give him gear that boosts magic power, surely the understanding that the power of the skill relies on magic should be universally understood?

Reread back from the beginning because how the story goes so far. This is a beginning on everything about how the Fake Master Incident affecting Light forever, especially after being banished by his former party while witnessing how evil these his supposed “trusted companions” truly are with their heinous acts of betrayal, deception and brutality. Unfortunately for these eight egotistical jerks, this banished member narrowly escapes via one miracle and the first summon from his “Unlimited Gacha’s” awaken power on a very right timing will foreshadows the former adventure party’s karmic downfall in the future chapters to come.
I STRONGLY suggest people to actually read the source materials (WN and LN) before reading this manga and say ANYTHING about it.
The manga exclusive panels about the party’s last happy days, along with Light’s nostalgia with his party only octuple the hurt for Light because out of the original 9, the Human boy was the ONLY person who cherish the friendship with the supposed “family” and he is both sad AND (rightfully) angry because said “second family” just screwed his bond with them foe 2 years . None of the eight traitors ever realize that they just incurred a wrath of one honest and good-hearted person mainly because of the awakening of the very “Gift” everyone ridiculed.
