My Noble Family is Headed For Ruin, So I May As Well Study Magic In My Free Time - Chapter 1
Comments for chapter "Chapter 1"
This is some incredibly stupid writing. Having to reaffirm your nobility periodically, that makes sense. The Romans did that, and that was a thing you had to do every generation, not just every three. That, unfortunately, is where the plot falls apart. What do you mean, a fourth generation noble family is the “oldest” noble family?! Only FOUR?! Is this a new system or something?
And how the hell are they so rich, with such a big, fancy house, if the nobility began with the main character’s great-grandfather? They should be a barely-established family after only four generations! There should still be a few noble families looking down on them as “new nobility” at this point!
Most importantly, how the hell are ANY of this family’s children in the “Useless lazy noble” rut after only FOUR generations?! Especially in a system that demands a reaffirmation of nobility? It’s a trend I’ve seen every recent manhwa and manga author fall into, thinking that all nobles are entitled, lazy brats, like the kids of some nouveau riche family or something. In reality, if you weren’t in line to inherit, you had to get a job to support yourself, because you weren’t going to get to live off of your parents forever. If you didn’t inherit, you were expected to enter the military, or the clergy, or something of similar dignity, so you could live once you were an adult!
Ignite.
The evening of the annual Ig Festival.
Good beginning to bad chapter ending.
Doesn’t make sense. A person from modern era suddenly transferred to a kid’s body and all his reaction is gather few info about the child and totally ignore everything? He didn’t researched anything nor tried to learn about the world or outside situation. It’s too weird for an adult to behave like that.
Hmmm, generic beginnings
Acquired Magic Skill: Fire Magic
Yeah. Real smart idea to try out fire magic in the middle of a library. Why not douse the whole mansion in oil first, if you want it to burn down so badly.
So right off the bat, this kinda reminded me of the 8th Son manga. Exact same start. Wakes up in the youngest noble son’s body at a party. I guess we’ll see where this goes.
Is screaming “Am I A Child?!” at the top of your lungs after seeing that your hands had shrunk, while also being in the middle of an unfamiliar place with a large gathering of strangers wearing fancy clothes, a normal thing to do?
“Normal” as in normal in a isekai or wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey genre of fiction that depicts a “normal” guy as the MC.
Also, “being able to choose the outfit you wear each day” is not the life of a Noble. It’s the life of a casual. You can have a job or school that doesn’t have uniforms and only has a dress code that prevents people from showing up in the nood or in a fur-suit.
LITERALLY A RIP OFF OF 7TH SON
go find that one
its better and goes more in-depth too
Nobles Society in other isekai stories: “Sorry but 3rd son/ daughter up, ya gotta go live by yourself, please learn everything you need starting from now ~!”
A carefree spoon-fed for lives ?! What kinda nonsense is this lmao
Bruh, how did nobody noticed? This is already a bad start. A good start is MC learns the memory of the kid, not just suddenly be teleported in the body. That’s just straight up possession, it meant that that body is not his at all. It’s either you’re born with the memory of a previous life, or you just remember the memory suddenly.

So far, so good… 😁
