I had a quick read into slash and burn farming, it is a practice that is still in use today.
Farmers will cut down the trees and woody vegetation in an area, this is then called the ‘slash’. Which is then left to dry, usually before the rainy season, then burnt. This ash created from the slash leaves the soil fertile and the fire causes a temporary pause on weeds and pests. This is often done in areas such as the Amazon where the land is naturally low in nutrients.
The land is fertile for three to five years and after that a new piece of land must be found. This is due to the nutrients being sapped from crop growth and the invasion of weeds and pests. Afterwards farmers must seek new land, the Slash and burn land is then left to recover, this will take a few decades.

couldnt you just take the string and elongate it and pull it a little more at diffrent parts? idk how to say it properly but like. if you take a string and pull it apart it makes a higher tone than if you dont pull as much if you understand. couldnt mc basically do that with his one or elongate it and turn it into more strings by bending it?

so basically long ago there was a planet with lots of life that to us would look disgusting and corrupted, but was life all the same. Then, a mage descended and WIPED OUT ALL LIFE, realized that’s kinda dull, so covering the world with Earhly life instead. Basically, the mage is an evil genocidal speciest invader
