A brief description of the My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Brave’s manga:
One day, an ordinary group of sophomore students suddenly moves to a parallel world, where they are met by the king of one of the local states. He asks the students to help in the war with the terrifying Lord of Demons, who started a war between the four continents.
Unexpectedly, everybody will know that from now on they have unique abilities and personal specialization. Akira, a lonely boy who has always stayed away from people, finds that his level of ability is much higher than that of his other classmates combined, and in fact he is… a professional killer.
Having hidden the truth from his comrades, Akira starts his own game and soon discovers the terrible truth about the royal family. In his journey he will meet a pretty elven girl and go to the guild of adventurers. What adventures await a murderer who does not want to become a hero?

What an absolute bummer of a manga.
The start is decent, but goddamnit does the author drop ball at about chapter 14-20.
I have to assume his editor talked him into this absolute shit show of an arc, and he was too weakminded to say no.
This is gets a crazy good animation, while TBATE and the latest season of one punch is abysmal asf. Idk if this manga is good, I’m sure it’s decent, but I can confirm it can only be barely above mid after watching what the anime has made so far. The animation and music is great for the anime btw.
Last read on 24/08/2024…. That’s almost a 12 months,……. And came back today on 23/07/25….. For 3 chapters? 
Big tip: do yourself a favor and avoid reading chapters 13-19 (the elf sisters arc); its written incredibly badly, adds nothing of value, and the story goes from a solid 4.8/5 to a 0.5/5, but from chapter 20 onwards it just picks up as if that arc didn’t happen and its good again. You will likely just feel turned off from continuing to read this if you suffer through that arc

Well know I now why I dropped this series. The updates take for ever from what it used to be in the start of this series which was like every week. This time around it looks more like months or yrs before the next chapter comes out.

I read up to chapter 20 two years ago and I had to reread this because of how little I remembered. Surprisingly, the beginning set-up was better than I remembered of a manga of this type. Though, all good things must come to an end, and apparently the longer this manga drags on, the rawer the plot becomes.
The reading experience is as if the author did not plot out any of the conflict or resolutions of said conflict. To further elaborate, most of the arcs are sudden and out of place while other plot points were forgotten about.
Despite the pitiful attempt by the author to create drama or character development, each character fits an already made mold that doesn’t expand from what has been given. The only enjoyable quality is the mysterious history they possess.
There’s not much logic in the isekai’d world expectedly of the title of this work, but it’s still rather upsetting to see plot holes or inconsistency. Not the best written isekai “revenge” manga, but it does its job (poorly) of mixing the revenge and slow life trope.

If you are into good story telling and writing well this isn’t. It started good but then the author morphed it to incel story mode.
Oh, I see another assassin manga
This manga was quite good but there ends up being a plot point in the later chapters that was so badly done and with the characters acting like they got lobotimized this became a 2,5 or a 3 depending how turned off your brain was. Dont get me wrong the issue with the plot point wasnt the ideia itself the auther just wrote it so badly and with near zero actual logic and all the supporting characters acted as if they cannot do anything with on of them being the father that absolutely should and could have solved this or stopped it.
No wonder that it has taking almost a year to make a chapter
