Wow, that’s really symbolic. A warrioress breaking her sword means she’s never going back.

It may be symbolic of her old life no longer being an important part of herself, but I must admit a part of me feels almost sad seeing her jian neglected then cast aside. It’s like watching an old friend pass away in a way since it was one of the few objects she’s kept since the very start of the series. That plus my interests in small arms and melee esoterica are a factor I suppose.
