The transition of the focus of the story from Jiang He and Qingze to the kids feels oddly right, since their story more or less finished in terms of a traditional romance after the birth of Shi’an and Jin. Now it just remains to be seen how the remainder of the story will develop since the kids are getting close to middle school now (at least by US standards, dunno what the Chinese equivalent would be).
Come to think of it, Shi’an really seems to have drawn the short stick in terms of inheritance since he got stuck with Jiang He’s academic laziness and Qingze’s irreverent sense of humor and foolishness, while Jin got the more cunning aspects of both combined with a quiet stoicism and an excellent mind. Wonder what a potential third kid’d be like if they had another roll in the hay, even if I know that’s not gonna happen anytime soon.
Pleasure reading alongside y’all once more, haven’t commented much over the last several chapters but it’s been fun seeing some new faces show up, gets a bit lonely seeing just moi at times lol. As always, hope life’s treating y’all well, see you again next chapter or elsewhere on-site. Peace.
