Seems, just like a Video Game, the whole story was rewritten, but some parts of the Old Story remain, him mentioning Sids name brought back Non-Existant Memories that were deleted in Vanessa’s Mind huh? The Culprit behind this is probably Sid himself, maybe he turned evil cuz I doubt something like this would’ve gone unnoticed and unopposed by him, or a God or a Godly Weapon was used to rewrite the World. Reminds me of that Anime where the Male MC lives in a World where there’s Furries but it’s a Desert like World where Animal’s like Bird Men rule, and there’s a Duo of 2 Humans, a Hot Woman who wields a sword or something is like the Vash the Stampede Humanoid typhoon of that world. And MC is the Reason why Humanity lost a War that allowed These Animal Beings like Crocodile Men and Bird Men and Cat Men to become the Dominant Race on Earth. And at the end he remembers who he truly is, and that’s a Godly Weapon and he gives the Woman a Choice, to change the world back to where Humans ruled, or let the Status Quo remain where Humans are basically slaves and are living in a Dark Age Timeline where Intelligent and Savage and Racist and Prejudiced Animal Men rule absolutely. 🤷🤦‍♂️

Also this reminds me of Solo Leveling, the part where he goes to hell and meets the Demonic Nobility and he asks them about the Monarchs or whatever and they glitch out, same with the Ice Elves on why they want to kill Humans so much. And they glitch out on the questions.
