not to be too nitpicky here but stories really shouldn’t do this when world building and power systems is a big aspect. Proper and consistent systems should be thought out instead of poor and ambiguous explanations, if you really can’t think of one yourself copy one from any MMO and change a few names around.

I get the distinct impression that the plot is getting abbreviated for the sake of brevity. Tons of shit happens each chapter (that whole dream sequence was a month long and only half the chapter before) and things are moving really quickly. I wonder if there is a web novel or something?
Yea, I neglected to mention, but the loophole in that swearing on family name part is that
- She swore on the Lucifer name – you can’t be sure that Lucifer is her actual family name
- It stops her from killing you, not torturing you or leaving you to starve.
