Summary
A brief description of the Manga Olympia of Infidelity:
Tamaki Kuroudo, a middle-aged office worker stuck in a dull routine and seen as inept, is constantly dismissed as a hopeless case.
Mocked for his protruding belly, ignored by his indifferent daughter at home, and after spotting questionable calls from his wife’s coworker on her phone, his miserable existence seems endless.
During one of his pitiful days, his competent junior, Ayase Mizuki, asks him to assist her in the storage room. While moving equipment, he accidentally brushes against her chest—only for her to capture the moment on camera!
After hours, she uses the video to blackmail him… and drags him to an unlikely location—a gym!

I would genuinely be able to fully enjoy this kind of idea if the man weren’t married with an okay wife, and a 16 year old daughter.
He could have been divorced or anything else – but he has a whole family with a normal wife that cares about him (and also doesn’t want him to cheat on her). The art and the character design is great, the story is pure-hearted, but it just feels like a huge dissonance that his family is right there.
Therefore, I do not know how I would rate this story. Everything about it is good, but it is principally flawed. You cannot fully enjoy it if you have any morals, but it feels like it was made for people with morals. Too much dissonance.
Perhaps some kind of development where the wife has an accident or something could have been plausible, but only very early on – she’s been developed enough as a character and is proven to care for her husband, so it would ruin the story if it were to happen now. I do not know how it can develop going forward, as it feels that the author has written himself into a quagmire.

This deserves to be rated higher.
Probably has a lower rating because it only releases one chapter a month.

It’s a lot of fun and very refreshing. MC isn’t a super-simp which automatically puts this above most new manga. My only regret is that this is VERY slowly updating.

Way better than the low rating. I’d say it’s a solid 3.9-4.1. Considering the stories with pathetic MCs that do the worst actions for the stupidest reasons, at least I can understand why this guy is doing what he’s doing. He’s 100% justified, from the blackmail and “screw it, this sounds like a great thing to do”, to the “my wife has made our relationship platonic, breaking the implied marriage contract” perspective.

This sh*t is as crazy as it’s interesting. Makes you expect a lot of messed up situations + progress of MC so there is much to look forward to.
I’m curious about the “Sci-Fi” tag too btw ?
