It’s gonna be harder and harder for Oda to explain why Imu doesn’t have absolute control over the planet if they’re able to casually control the strongest pirate we’ve seen in the story. Like why didn’t they do this with Kaido for example? That would have solved so many issues for WG and almost nobody would have thought that demonic Kaido going berserk is something particularly strange compared to his usual actions.

Domi reversi seemed OP but there must be some conditions to activate it :
- Being on the homeland of the victim and or
- The victim needs to be in an emotional state
Imu just tanked a combined attack of the 6 strongest ACOC users (minus Shanks, and with a young Kaido but still) and seemed completely unfazed. Either he is that tanky, and Joy Boy was truly the Haki monster, or there must be something in particular to hurt him.
ah, that’s how king harald was used. imu practically made them turn into some kind of a devil and kill those around them. so he probably use turn harald into one and loki end up killing him. but then the giant elder’s accusation to loki seems illogical.
or was it loki that was controlled and harald tried to stop him and died in the battle?
as for rock, now we can see why garp and roger killed rock back then.
and notice that the 3 emperor was among those who attack imu this time beside roger, garp, and rock? that’s probably why they gain world gov recognition as yonko

Since Imu’s fruit/ability allows will-reversal and demonification is it opposing Luffy’s?
We’ve heard Luffy’s fruit (Nika) can do something similar where the power awakens and spreads to other people (Saturn hints that Bonney’s imitation isn’t it). Except his is based on freedom rather than control.
Perhaps thats why the WG is so antsy about the Nika Nika fruit, without it, facing Imu is impossible.
Also could mean we could see in that upcoming great war a bunch of demons vs an Nika-awakened army.
I don’t care how much is done to try to make Garp redeemable…he is the worst kind of scum there is because he is a coward. All this has shown us is that he is 100% aware of what the Celestial Dragons get up to, he is 100% aware that they use the Navy as pawns and will kill them without hesitation for no reason simply because they can. He is aware of ALL OF THIS and tries to act high and mighty with disliking it, but he stayed in the Navy, he wanted his son to stay, and he wanted his grandson to join.
He isn’t like Roy Mustang, who wanted to climb ranks to get to a position where he could bring about change. No, Garp stays where he is because he is strong enough that they can’t do anything to him, but he refuses to do anything about it either. He is nothing more than a man who will sit by and watch these monsters murder for fun, and he will do nothing because he is a coward. Garp is worse than scum.
And as I said, there is absolutely NOTHING that can redeem him. There is no Deus Ex Machina level crap he can pull “GARP SAVES THE DAY” No…It doesn’t change anything, it doesn’t erase anything. This includes S.W.O.R.D. secretly working with The Revolutionaries. Garp is no hero.

Also this is by far one of the greatest chapters in one piece
10/10 this was shows all the top powers did nothing to MU and he still changed Rocks into a demon. This new war will be epic when ever we get back to the current story. Best flashback so far.
That might be the most terrifying power in the entire One Piece. I wonder if it’s devil fruit tho… the incantation doesn’t have the usual double prefix.
I’ve long believed Imu is of actual devil race with innate fruit like abilities from which the devil fruits were created/stolen.
It might be an ability that “reverses will”, so the strong will to “protect family” turns to “kill family”. We saw with the Pirate Captains a similar thing. Imu stirs a desire, then reverses it’s purpose with their command.
So it’s possible that even being clad in Conqueror’s Haki can’t stop the initial turn, but perhaps it could “break” the demonification? Although probably requiring Haki on the level of the first Joyboy (enough to send back the 5 Elders)
Most of the demonising we’ve seen has been Imu confusing the opponent first with a vulnerability or warped desire.
Combo’ing imu just to get uno reversed later on is crazy😭
