I feel like we didn’t see enough of Luffy’s Haki. I think the best and only “aura” moment of Haki was at fishman when he knocked out 50,000 people

given how alabasta was once the coalition army, and protector of ponyglyphs etc at the same time. we can probably assume that the first generation coalition might not be entirely ‘evil’ and the great ancient nation that they crusade against might not be entirely ‘good’ guys.
