Probably has opportunity to utilize magic in ways that aren’t brute force magic emitter attacks. So can he do railgun acceleration on daggers and arrows? Magic hands (telekinesis) to use multiple weapons? Magic fog/poison? Magic manipulation (throw opposing fireball back at the caster)? Lots of opportunities with enough imagination.
