here I was about to complain that she clearly told him a couple years ago when he first learned helmet splitter that she was a mage… I would’ve written that off as simply being for his protection or something if it weren’t for the Ai-chan’s warning

I’m confused , why is her surprised by the prospect of assassination ?
He literally found a whole bookshelf filled with books with records of assassinations two chapters ago , and was explicitly that it was royals that got killed , in the very same building he is living in , no less
