idk if it’s because of my heritage and education, but it really doesn’t seem that hard for me to understand how to pronounce any of this. I mean, I don’t know Korean, but I know Chinese(fluently)and Japanese(not), so I’ve kinda just figured out how to pronounce these newly spelled words from Korean a-ok. For example: jeok cheongang, Idk where that’s from, but jeok is jock with a hallow o, and cheongang can be split into cheong-ang and cheon-gang- here’s where it helped me a lot. I’m I’m yapping like crazy, but I instinctively knew it was cheon-gang, and can also do so with other instances.
Since i yapped me life away away here for no reason, here’s
tldr: learning Asian languages(that’s a brag) has helped me greatly with understanding pronunciation when tls use the original, untranslated name.
