is it just me, or did all the previous chapters get deleted and only the new chapters (32 and above at this point) are available.
If you want a slightly more serious version of Konosuba without the isekai part, this is it. The characters are solid, the story’s fine, though it can be a bit of a rollercoaster, swinging from boring to hype and back again. Still, the structure holds up well. It throws in a few unexpected twists, too, which can be either a pleasant surprise or a buzzkill depending on who’s reading. If you’re expecting something groundbreaking, this isn’t it. It’s just another comedy fantasy, but a good one. Not exactly peak, but far from mid either. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, sure, but I found it genuinely enjoyable. Definitely something I’d recommend to my fellow old men out there.
The art is good, but the story loses its spark very, very quickly.
Middle aged man comes out of retirement to go on adventures with his adopted kids. Amusing but not groundbreaking, characters however have substance to them. Recommended if you want adventure without isekai or however it’s spelled.
This is good, I can assure you. But I don’t like the art style. Don’t get me wrong, the art style is quite polished and professional, You don’t see drawings of such quality every day, but it just doesn’t catch my eye, apart from that everything is good. Would recommend
pretty good. in the beginning i was on the rocks right, sad MC, guns, ect. but as the story went on, it got better and better, like explaining why guns aren’t as good as old-fashioned swords and just overall better development. After around chapter 7-8, i think it picks up into a grove.
5/5, would recommend, and hope it continues with lots more chapters.
Its okay. Nothing more nothing less. A bit over the top. I personally hate guns in fantasy settings so that one is not for me. Best thing was when his wife divorced him and kicked him out of his house..
Concept is good, the characters have soul in them. Reminded me of a shounen for a bit because of the energy they have and I love heroes
It’s good.
It doesn’t have the same old garbage cliches hero manga have and the characters act consistently and in an interesting manner. My only complaint is it’s not clear if it’s anything other than a slice of life story. There was a central conflict but it seems to be resolved in the four chapters I read.

I was gonna say that while it seemed mildly interesting there was no hook and the story confusingly started things without doing any kind of introduction, just expecting you to care and understand who’s who and what they’re doing.
Then I realized the series on this site is broken and starts at chapter 15 instead of the real first chapter.
