This is a big disconnect from the 1st chapter where he was ready to kill a child to protect himself from dying. Now he risks his life to save people and cares about everyone, which is not like a ‘realist’, A realist is cold and calculating and will always take the best course of action no matter what and won’t have lofty ideals of not sacrificing anyone.
