The MC is not fighting against humanity but against the humans who oppress damons, elves, dwarves and other races.
Later, they also take sides in a civil war in the human kingdom of Rosalia (which they started)

The anime for the series (The Maou Army’s Strongest Magician Was a Human) started this month (07.24).
It is one of the series that deals with strategy (such as in Crancrest War).

The basic premise of the story puzzles me: A human helps a non-human race to kill and conquer humans. :meme:

It might be believable if he grew up without ever knowing other humans, but the very first chapter reveals he remembers growing up in Japan (Isekai tag is missing).

Even more odd, demons with a human appearance do not hide behind a mask or cloak like the MC. His direct boss, Cefiro, has nothing indicating she is a demon (no horns, tail, pointy ears, etc). :saitama:

I thought I could at least enjoy the battle strategies, but even those have some nonsense:

Chapter 3 battle

Orcs are bigger than humans, and ogres are even bigger. Those two large demon species managed to lie in hiding for an ambush without any human scouts or the entire human army noticing them.
