The trick is you train the hero, and send him after OTHER demon lords. Not his stupid crap.

I think it would have been wiser to do one of these three: try to befriend him in a way that he becomes completely loyal to you (the most risky and reckless one); imprison him for life without letting him move at all and feeding him enough not to starve, that way a new hero doesn’t appear; just kill him and the heroes that pop up after him.
This decision by far was the worst, and knowing the usual tropes it’s gonna bite him on the ass later.

this so generic what happens when only the seal on his power is released and someone manipulates him to kill u or the seal on the his memory is released and he hates u for sealing it in first place why keep a weakness when u can remove it. the magic in this is just used as an op plot tool that can do whatever he wants when the plot calls for it.
