I really hope the author doesn’t do the usual of letting them get away and mc having to go for a hostage. It would be so much cooler of he catches the guy, and then still chooses to go. It would also make sense, since this will probably happen again if he doesn’t go and just end it, so he would still have a reason to go without the hostage thing
