Just to remind people, the way he used to regress no longer exists. It was removed from ALL realities, so nobody else CAN know about that items effect other than mc. That director actually just hit a bullseye on the most random dartboard. Granted there may be other items that do the same thing… but I haven’t seen any proof of that yet.
It seems to me this piece of shit wants the world to be destroyed. What does he have to gain from the destruction of the world?

He said “it’s your second run too”, so he clearly knows that the MC returned. But he doesn’t seem like a returner, for one he looks too old and his goal seems strange too, it doesn’t make sense to want to get rid of such a useful item for fighting the waves and profit. Maybe he’s an outsider that infiltrated and wants the portals to kill humans for his goals? And somehow he knows of the ability to come back in time because he saw it happen with someone else rather than himself?
