I can’t see anyone mentioning it in the comments, so I guess I’ll be the one to point it out.
I wondered before how important of a figure the MC’s master used to be.
In the panel portraying the 5 Great Venerables we can see one of them being pretty young and having a very similar goatie beard just like the dead master, so I guess he used to be one of the 5 most powerful beings of the murim/jianghu.
We already heard he was all fed up of all the mischief and killing of the jianghu, so I guess he made his mind to settle down after the great war and construction of the Murim Alliance.
MC will be in quite a shock when he gets to know how prominent of a figure his master was.
Can’t wait for him to unravel the truth
