Theory: the regressor already know our MC and his behavior, so he already knew he would have the alchemist option or something, and maybe he didn’t ally with our MC before regressing but know his potential too well so he recruited him this time.
If that’s correct it also means he knows the MC has the mind’s eye, so that why he wants him.
