Very bad writing, tha arthur dont have a clue about romantic relations or how they where in the past. It would have been easy to include that a fiance would wait for marriage before being close as an excuse, holding up a ladies honor… Instead of making the MC act worse than an boy in puperecense would act on his first kiss…

Good on her for finally forcing the dense MC to act like her fiancé.

Also, no matter how many times I see it, that’s still a STUPID tower design. Even in fantasy, the laws of physics still apply. Stone staircases and floors require more support than that, especially if you’re stacking multiple floors on top of each other on top of a regular castle.
