Fantastic chapter. Yeah, there is no way Emperor will leave Grandia alone, no matter what Logan does.
But its so sad that the Third Prince turned out to be so insecure and jealous.
I don’t know if this was a smart move. Either Logan underestimated just how powerful the empire is, or he overestimates himself and his willingness to survive. The only thing he has seen himself as of the moment is just how rich and powerful the empire and the emperor is but he already had a feeling or a small estimation of that, he simply cannot believe how much stronger they were from what he believed. Now he is in the middle of enemy territory, surrounded by countless sword masters and the emperor.
Also, once he returns, the king will have further doubts of his loyalty, especially if Logan decides to return with the gifts. For now, it just seems it isn’t worth it. Sure he injured one rising star in the empire. But that’s just one, the empire looks like it has more than 30 sword masters. MC could have just declined and cleaned up the kingdom first, focusing more on how to strengthen his forces. But lets see what else MC can figure out before returning. Hopefully, he gets more so that his visit to the empire is worth leaving the king to be made a puppet.
Those weapons are useless against all those super humans and the empire’s military.
The smart play would have been to become king to Grandia, and give it to the Emperor.

The king or emperor will HATE mc now because he loves superhumans and talented people but HATES IT when that person or country depends more on special weapons then superhumans

Tell the emperor that the condition for aligning with the empire means that Grandia will never be invaded as long as he is alive and serving the empire. I know he hates the empire, but there is zero chance that they will survive let alone win a war against them.
why wont he just go with his whole allience and party members to empire thus avoiding war in full. Empire would just enter kingdom without restriction and then he would become a king
