In the LN Hammond isn’t acting like some child giving Ars the stink eye, he’s about as respectful as you’d expect. I don’t believe it’s mentioned but Ars appraises Hammond and Krawl, they’re both fairly mediocre but the exact numbers aren’t mentioned. Just in general Ars acts so much more childish and inadequate in the manga, it’s a bit surprising just how much they change things between the mediums. eg. Ritsu doesn’t need to tell him to stand for the lord of Canale, he does that himself and simply follows Hammon and Krawl’s lead
