In the LN when they return Raven hasn’t awoken, they’re still keeping this whole situation hidden from him. Ritsu, Ars, and Rosel immediately have a strategy meeting where Ristu brings up mock battles to teach Ars how to lead soldiers into combat. And Rosel prods for information about who their supporting and what the odds look like, going so far as to mention if things look bad they need to consider betraying Lumaire. And this is the first time mercs get brought up, Rosel suggests hiring someone for info on the 2 brothers and Ritsu brings up the Shadows. I don’t recall it ever being mentioned but they specialize in shadow magic, information, and espionage. But because Raven isn’t awake yet and they want to consult him they send off some of their own soldiers I guess?

so did the MC just stop trying to grow personally once he got his 3 vassals? like WTF he was smarter/braver as a 3-year-old. And with all his appraising, he should be able now to gauge his strength/weakness without the skill.
