Got a feeling that she may see the MC as treating the witches like tools, there’ll be something she won’t like, I know that much. Either that, or this Syvie will reveal that he’s from another world. Also, this translation is especially bad this chapter. It sorta made out that reading the ancient texts too much makes you go mad, if that’s the case, that princess may lose her way. Or, if witches decide to stay with the MC, she may respond badly to that, too.
Either way, I see discourse between them approaching, with her being the aggregate. I dislike Ash, she’s an enabler and probably a bad influence.
Discourse or not, I do think they’ll group up eventually.

We gotta speak about the terrible plan to attatch hot air balloons to ships. She mentioned “besides unexpected storms and tsunami’s, pirates are the most dangerous”
No wait, replay. you want to actually have a hot air balloon attatched to your ship during a storm? that thing will drag the ship all over the place, possibly dragging it down. ofc you can just cut it off and never see it again, but that’d be expensive. (not to mention whoever was still on the balloon…)
and use it against pirates. you think you can use it to spot pirates. you’re going to have 10meters of bright collered balloon and then that small basket, trust me they see you way before you see them. why not write “we got goods” on the balloon so the pirates know where to attack.
if that thing gets shot down and starts filling with water it will drag the ship down too. ofc you can cut the line, just hope nothing breaks before you did.
Lastly. how will you start or lower the balloon. even if you don’t consider all the dangers, it seems completely impracticle. I don’t think you have the space to land it on the ship. and you can NOT land it in water since the balloon will fill with water and disappear to the bottom of the ocean/river.
