Summary
A brief description of the Release That Witch manga:
Cheng Yan went through time and entered a world similar to medieval Europe, becoming Roland, the fourth prince of the kingdom. But this world is not what it is used to. Witches and magic are normal here. Will Roland be able to get the throne of the king and solve the problems that fell to his share? Only his experience of modern technology and the help of witches, known as “Devil’s servants”, will allow him to succeed!

Sigh, I have caught up once again. Time to leave this series for a while once more.

If there’s one thing this manhua does quite well, it is portraying these serene, lovely and wholesome moments. That’s when I quite admire the artwork.

Previously, church was the main supposedly evil antagonist but now they are a faction with their own beliefs and motives, just like MC and his witches association. This is why I like this story. There’s a lot of twists and turns. The characters have some depth and aren’t like those generic ones we see in most manga. manhwa and manhuas.
I especially like the world building and the unravelling the dark history which was in complete darkness up until now.
This is going to be even more interesting. The fight for the throne, church vs witches, MC’s own purpose in coming to this world and last but not the least humanity vs demons. There’s a lot of interesting stuff going parallel to each other and that’s why I enjoy this story,
Now, if only someone better pick up the translation of these newer chapters. Since past 20-30 chapters I’ve been struggling while reading this less than good translation. While I appreciate the fast delivery, it still takes out part of the pleasure coz of poor grammar and vocabulary. I’m not tryna dyss the TL here. It’s just my honest and humble opinion/suggestion/request.

So far even though the church is the main antagonist, they seem way better than when the witches ruled for a few reasons.
1. Majority of the population is fine with their existence .
2. The higher class might not like being under their rule but the middle and lower classes that make up most of the population probably would.
3.They do not rule by fear but by a common belief.

Currently, we are led to believe that MC and gang have the higher moral standing because of their knowledge, which is actually human societies’ knowledge, developed over centuries of failures and experiments, wherein religion played a flawed, but highly important role, at the very least some decision of the decision were made better than under witches’ rule.
For one, they didn’t have a tradition of making knowledge potentially undecipherable by future generations.
The cat is out of the bag now: once the church is defeated, the only thing stopping witches from overthrowing MC and ruling over common man is loyalty.
No different from “might makes right”, even worse when the might was only imparted and not earned, with the wielder being so shortsighted.
RedDragonLord
I highly doubt that’ll happen. MC and the witch’s union under him are both morally positive and don’t lust for power and fame. So they’ll most likely remain loyal to MC’s cause. MC is MC after all. He’s the fore front of all the change. He’s the leader. He’s God.
SPOILER ALERTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT READ WHAT’S WRITTEN AHEAD NOW!!!
I happen to be a moron and opened the last chapter of the Novel this is based off and it’s a hella long story and MC somehow (SPOILER!!!) does end up becoming a God(SPOILER ENDS) lol. IDK how but that’s the ultimate spoiler I gave myself. So yeah, that last line is true even though I wasn’t aiming to spoil anything.
