Wow.
I never realised how virtuous socialism was.
Centralising power in the hands of the few righteous and good people… instead of letting the wicked individuals run their own lives.
The recent first episode of the animated version of this made it more obvious how much of a propaganda piece this whole story is… and hence rereading.

WOW…. Don’t let these people make decisions for you. Talk about short sighted. Giving up all of your power, authority and lands to the government on basically promises of cooperation and prosperity? Giving all of your power to centralized government? Sounds like Communist propaganda to me.
Sure if you have an unrealistically benevolent King/dictator like Roland it’s fine, but what happens when King Trump, or King Petty greedy evil takes the role? Let’s be honest… who do you think is more likely to obtain political power? Someone altruistic and generous who only thinks of others? or Someone ambitious, hungery and driven towards power and acquisition? Obviously the latter which is why most politicians and people in power are corrupt, greedy, liars with very little morals and principals.
