Release That Witch - Chapter 60 The End Of A King

I’m surprised, I thought that it was the 5th Princess that killed “the King.” However, even if she is a witch (which I think she is), I don’t believe she had any part of this plot.

I knew the church was up to some sketchy stuff, but I didn’t know that they were this deep in.

I wonder what this “enemy” they speak of is. Does he mean the demonic beasts, or does he know about that city we were briefly shown?

Is the city an autonomous relic from a technologically advanced civilisation, or are there people in there operating it?

Those higher tiered demons surprised me, but I doubt it’s those that control that city/thing. In fact, I bet the church has been at war with it/them for ages. I also believe that the church and witches used to have a good relationship, but the church, fearing their power, decided to warp everyone’s mind and wanted rid of them. The fact they still use them is a hint that this could be the case, and some witches may actually be either loyal to the church, or slaves to them.

I must admit, this is getting more interesting. I like a plot that gives you things to ponder. Also, the actual king may be locked up and near death, but he’s not actually dead. I think he’ll get out. I mean, the author must be keeping him alive for a reason?
