I feel like the MC is getting character development bit by bit. We know little of his origins, but he debuted as a fighter in that fighting den, then was dragged off by the Mad Monk. He also has a harsh & hard upbringing as a waiter before he flighted and was beat up a lot.
Then, the Mad Monk left him and he roamed around, then was labelled the Crazy Demon. It’s not hard to see why he ended up the way he did.
It’ll be interesting if he meets the Mad Monk again, or if we see more of his training/action with the Mad Monk.
I feel that he’s doing a pretty good job at not killing considering his background and era etc. Even on Earth, killing was very common a few hundred years ago.

Not only MC has no rhyme or reason on what he decides to, which is hilarious, the main reason I dig the writing is because protagonist doesn’t f around & straightens out any cocky, smug individual.
Tired of trope where villain is self-righteous cocky bastard & MC struggles against him/her, gets a power up & ends fight in one sword swing/punch living the baddie alive. F that noise.
This MC, however, mocks the ever-loving sh*t out of those cocky bastards before sending them to the afterlife. 100% my kinda dude.
Bro got me laughing too hard while reading this 10/10 writing 💀
