Is the MC treating Sungtae as his disciple in some unorthodox form?? He usually doesn’t care much if someone dies, but he seems to want him to not die & get stronger.
Tbf, the MC is said to not have a specific sword or training style, as it mostly comes from battle after battle. Maybe that’s the reason he’s not directly training him?

I love that little nod that he is the Mount Hua originator, the devolper of the plum blossom sword. That such a faction that is traditionally seen as a rigid orthodox faction in most of the xianxia stories has its roots in this crazy mad lad is such a fun twist.

I love his philosophy and ideals, he’s seen as crazy and does act mad, yet he makes the most sense out of anyone in a ruthless world like Murim. Sometimes the craziest ones see beyond a closed perception. It’s beautiful
