Now knowing that Penelope was kidnapped in Baskerville teritory my theory is that the Lokoko tribe is connected to demons (because of the necromancy) and got an order from the demon realm to kidnap her and break Hugo’s heart. The Demons then used the pain Hugo felt to slowly corrupt him until he turns into what he was in the OG timeline, but that development was stopped because MC was filling the hole Penelope left behind in Hugo’s heart

Madness is a lovely thing, its flows like water, and thus can be redirected. Drain and rebuild after the flood, or keep piling corpses and blight. 
Some are villains by nature and there heart is rotten.. while some are velains cause of situations where they stop caring about everything in the world.. not every villains are bad well though if they don’t change themselves than they deserve sever punishment 
Honestly, I hope he doesn’t kill Hugo. There should be some type of punishment for the sh*t he did to the other blood hounds, but execution isn’t one of those punishments.
Also, I feel like the mc doesn’t realize the whole concept at all when he realize certain things Hugo did when he finds out the truth. Yeah it’s sad and all on, and even makes sense on why Hugo basically became that way in the og timeline, but he’s not really thinking on the broader sides of things in this timeline. I get revenge isn’t easy to get out of (especially on how far said revenge is), but it’s hard to believe that the mc’s thinking process is sh*t when it comes to situations like this.
I get he wants revenge and again, it’s understandable on why he’s like this and why he can’t get out of it. But now, it makes less sense he wants to continue revenge since this Hugo isn’t the same Hugo the mc knew.
Besides, there could be other reasons on why he was executed. For example, we still don’t know how that war even started and it’s mention a couple of times in this story. Hugo could’ve been manipulated by the demons or a demon possessed him while the real Hugo actually died before he was executed.

Yeah, tho it may still “not” be justifiable, i hope mc would have that realization of reazons Hugo in the past life did all that. And possibly how can he change that, his revenge target may not be hugo in the first place if hugo would just be a pawn controlled as well
